Privacy Policy

Shiny Selfie — Effective Date: July 2, 2026

In short: the photos you edit in Shiny Selfie are processed entirely on your device — we do not upload, store, or have access to your photos on any server. The only data leaving your device is what Google's advertising SDK (AdMob) collects to show ads, as described below.

1. Who We Are

Shiny Selfie ("the App", "we", "us") is a photo editing and beauty-camera application for Android, developed and operated as an independent app. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your choices regarding that information.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Photos and Camera Access

The App requests camera and photo-library permissions so you can take or select a photo to edit. All image processing — face detection, beauty filters, the AI Enhance tool, stickers, text, and frames — happens locally on your device. Your photos are never uploaded to us or to any server we control, and we have no access to them. Edited photos are saved to a folder inside the App's own storage area on your device and remain there until you delete them (via the App's "My Creations" screen or your device's file manager) or uninstall the App.

2.2 Advertising Data (via Google AdMob)

The App is supported by ads served through Google AdMob (banner, interstitial, app-open, and rewarded ads — for example, watching a rewarded ad unlocks the AI Enhance tool). To serve and measure ads, AdMob and its partners may collect:

  • Your device's advertising ID
  • General device information (device model, OS version, language, screen size)
  • Approximate location derived from IP address
  • App usage and interaction data related to ads (impressions, clicks)

This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us directly, under Google's own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. You can review and reset your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your Android device settings under Settings → Privacy → Ads (path may vary by Android version).

2.3 Automatically Collected Technical Data

Like most apps, basic technical signals (crash logs, general device/OS information) may be collected by Android system services and by the Google Play Services libraries the App relies on (for example, Google Play services, used for ads). We do not operate a separate analytics or crash-reporting service of our own.

3. Permissions the App Requests, and Why

PermissionPurpose
CameraTake a photo to edit within the App.

Storage (Write, older Android versions)Save your edited photo to your device.
NotificationsReserved for future use (e.g. reminders); the App does not currently send any notifications.
Network / InternetLoad ads and check connectivity.
Advertising IDUsed by Google AdMob to serve and measure ads.

4. How We Use Information

  • To provide the App's core editing features, entirely on your device.
  • To display advertising that supports the App being free to use.
  • To unlock the rewarded AI Enhance tool after you choose to watch a rewarded ad.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your photos for any purpose other than displaying them back to you within the App.

5. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party SDK that can independently collect data as described in its own privacy policy:

When you use the App's share feature to send a photo to WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, or any other app, that photo is handed off to the app you chose via Android's standard share mechanism — that destination app's own privacy policy governs what happens to it from that point on. We do not see or retain a copy of what you share.

6. Data Storage & Retention

Your photos are stored only locally, in the App's private storage area on your device. We do not retain copies anywhere else. Uninstalling the App removes this data from your device (subject to your device's own OS behavior).

7. Your Choices & Rights

  • Delete your photos at any time from the App's "My Creations" screen.
  • Revoke permissions (camera, photos, notifications) at any time via Android Settings → Apps → Shiny Selfie → Permissions.
  • Reset or opt out of ad personalization via Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
  • Uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the UK, or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA/CPRA (such as the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data Google processes on your device advertising ID). Since we do not operate servers that store your personal data, most such requests are best directed to Google via the link above. You may also contact us using the details below and we will assist where we are able to.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information processed by the App, including keeping your photos local to your device rather than transmitting them anywhere. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect new features or legal requirements. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

11. Contact Us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how the App handles information, contact us at: adeveloper702@gmail.com .
